INTERLUDE

Last summer my family and I suffered a severe accident that left me with two fractured vertebrae. I won't go into details, but believe me when I say it could have been far worse.  After having to wear an orthopedic brace for three months, I'm currently undergoing physical therapy. I've been slowly recovering.

Since then, even though I've had plenty of time, I didn't get to draw much. Oh, yes, I've done some doodles and sketches here and there, but nothing of consequence. As hard as it might be for some people to grasp, drawing is quite a lot of intensive labor, and drawing comics even more so. Also, it's quite hard on the back too. Luckily, before the accident, I already had all of "The Fine Game of Nil" done until page 114, which I finally posted last week - believe it or not, I work that far ahead of schedule!

Nevertheless, as much as page 114 could (in a way) be seen as the end of the story, there remain in script format almost twenty more pages to be drawn that will - hopefully - tie any loose threads left.

It is my intention to finish those remaining pages as time and energy allows and to collect them along with the rest of the previous pages in a book version. Whenever it's done and ready, I will let you know all the details right here.

"The Fine Game of Nil" was always intended to be a very experimental (for me, at least) comic. I've enjoyed immensely getting this story and these characters finally out of my head and into a visual form. It is the longest, most epic and yet intimate story I have ever done.

In the meantime, I can be reached right here through the comments section and email.  You can also find me on Facebook.

Take care!
